PARAGON

Friday, March 15, 2014.

Paragon was definitely one for the books! Aside from the fact that we had one of the best tables (location-wise and people-wise haha!), I and I know everyone else enjoyed the night cause of… well… everything! The program was great, the food was A, the sportscomm looked amazing and everyone looked roarin’ (twenties -punny yet?) with their outfits!

I don’t want to spoil the memory and fun so here are some photos and a few words- from and about Paragon!

image

I never did a ballposal before so I kind of pulled off a clutch photobooth one before it started err hahaha.Thank you guys again, Isab & John!!

I personally love the shot below. “Let’s take a candid shot, guys!”

I’ve pretty much said the name of everyone on the photo below so I’ll just leave it at that haha

Nothing like a “Great Ball” to end senior year and  to celebrate four years in high school. I’d definitely want a part two of this one. I love my batch!

Paragon Aftermovie

Credits to Karla Z. (our batch mate, Kam Zu’s sis!) for organizing a great party and to Zoom for documenting whatever fun happened that night! This video seriously made me want to have a rewind.

200th. From our jerseys on the court to our dresses for ball and our heels for graduation. Thank God volleyball brought us together in grade school. I love you guys! (insert @cloerzz @_margacosio @triciasiochi @thisisgabbyvc) (at Miriam College)

Sad that it’s over but am beyond grateful because it did. Being here with an amazing community slash family was the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Goodbye and thank you endlessly, MCHS! You will be ever fair and dear to me. #DOM1N4TED (at Home, MCHS)

Before and after. Home from what I’d like to call my “ceremonial haircut! (#sentimentalshi) I’ll miss my two year-old hair and wavy tips -no more waxing ‘em black every month but heck yeah, we’ve won this long game of hide and seek! #DOM1N4TE baby hahaha! P.S. been wearing my favorite shirt everywhere the whole day

And for the last time in high school. Call it inverted tree, but I’ve always liked how our uniform looked and I’m sure as heck am going to miss drowsily putting it on every morning. Amazing and sad how those four years went by so fast… tomorrow, we’re set off. (at Miriam College)

LUMIÉRE: Illuminate, Radiate, Ignite

I wouldn’t want to leave high school without putting up this entry which I’ve been meaning to post since who knows when. I don’t post much here anymore as I used to but before I officially leave high school tomorrow (holy heck), I’d like to post this throwback to one of the best and most memorable nights EVER.

With the annual school fair comes the annual fair concert and this year’s (SOLD OUT, BABY) concert was titled Lumière (French for light), The official concert poster, mashed by yours truly (yay), is the first photo you’ll see below. (Mashed cause I used a light streak photo thing already for the background cause it seemed to flow with the idea.) There were really nice portrait shots from our album but I didn’t include them anymore cause they get rotated whenever I try to upload them here.

So anyways…

image

the sportscomm gates opened at around 6:30pm and the concert started around 20 minutes after. We heard there was a long-a** line (of people )outside that reached the campus gate -it happens every year though (luckily, concert comm people don’t have to go through that!)

I, as well as my Pub Comm girls Gica, Casey, Pat and Pau were the event photographers so on a related not, I’d like to thank these ladies cause the photos here are under our jumbled up ownership.

(Hi from me first)

Here are some photos of our Student performers:

Some students here were part of the talent show called Flair (I hope I got that right) -the first ever talent show in MCHS fair history. As a watcher, I’d say these girls prepped hard for their performances and it really showed!

Now here are the Guest Performers in no particular order with regards to when they went on stage:

Also, here are the Special Guests:

Guest hosts Chico, Delamar and Gino from Monster Radio RX 93.1:

She’s Only Sixteen:

They had the crowd laughing, dancing and singing!

image

Sandwich:

Their performance gave the audience no doubt on why they’re one of the most well-known bands in the country.

image

image

Oh, and while they were performing, I asked one of my comm-mates to take a photo of me while they’re on stage causing the photo below to happen. Well played!! Hahaha!

image

The next performer had the crowd crazy. Luigi D’avola went up, down and around the stage area (great job there by the security comm aka human barricades there for “controlling” the crows by the way) singing Back to You, Take a Chance and a couple of renditions:

I forgot who got the camera (seriously, I can’t remember if that was my friend or not) but thank you to the dude who offered to take that photo of us below!!

image

Congratulations to everyone who performed and took part in the concert!

And of course before I end this thing, thank you, Gica, for being my amazing co-head! This girl helped so much with everything! I will most certainly miss the work we did and the sleepless nights we’ve spent making videos, posters, organizing publicity waves and whatsits. I bet you’ll do a wonderful job next year! Thank you also to Magic (the SC head assigned to handle he entire concert committee) for being an awesome boss! Cheers to the MCHS SC, the teachers and the Concert Comm of 2014!

image

Running around the whole night, feeling so much heat and waking up with an aching body on the next morning was so worth the experience. If some of you would want, go on and sign up to be part of the concert committee next school year! Being part of it will seriously be one of the most harassing but best decisions you'll ever make -the feeling of family and success plus the magic's all in there. You won't regret the amazing experience, take it from us!

Hello and welcome to my crib! Though I’m afraid my sisters and I will be moving out after three days, I’m so grateful how we’ll still be calling and keeping this humble place as our home. I’ll definitely miss living here. #MCHS (at Miriam College)
